Staying True to oneself…
How to get the most out of your personal assessment:
I encourage you to spend some time thinking about your "wheel of life" results. Notice
how one area of life impacts your satisfaction of the whole or of other parts. You can
use the results of the assessment to create personal goals. Consider taking the
assessment each month to measure progress. Also consider hiring a coach to work
on specific areas with you.
Answer the following questions
- If this were a real wheel, how bumpy is the ride?
- What are the interdependencies? Notice how one area impacts your level of
satisfaction in another area.
- Which one area do you need to concentrate on right now to increase your whole
life satisfaction?
Commit and make a plan
- Select one area you'd like to change. Visualize how life might be if your
satisfaction would increase by 25%. By 50%! 100%!!
- Identify 3 things you can do to increase your level of satisfaction in the selected
area.
- Plan your actions. Identify the support and resources you need to accomplish
your 3 action items. How quickly do you want to accomplish the 3 goals?
Create an accountability structure
- What do you plan to do and by when? Tell someone.
- Ask a friend or colleague to hold you accountable.
Track your progress
- Mark down your assessment results. Repeat this "Wheel of Life" personal
assessment a month, 3 months, or 6 months from now.
- Select another area on which to develop, strengthen, find more satisfaction...
Continue to create your balanced, fulfilled life.
